SHAME.

The name of this Urban Decay Revolution lipstick is Shame. That is so far from what I feel when I wear it.

I bought this lipstick because 1) it's drop dead gorgeous and 2) it was SOLD to me. I went to an Urban Decay event at Ulta and got a free makeover, and from the moment I walked in I noticed the artist wearing this lip color. I hoped she would be the one to do my makeup, and when eventually she was, she told me she was hoping she'd get me, too. MEANT TO BE.

I knew before I asked that she was wearing Shame, because I've been eyeing it since the release of the Revolution lipsticks last year. I explained to her that I do all kind of different makeup all the time, so I wanted her to do anything she felt suited my face. She did a look with heavy peachy blush and highlight, light eyes, and Shame on my lips. I loved it so much that I recreated it, but with a less peachy blush.

That night I went to a bar, and someone tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Excuse me, you are just beautiful. Do people tell you all the time that you look like a more beautiful Lorde?" I felt like an asshole when I replied, "Yes, I get that a lot!" I LOVE Lorde's style, I think she rocks it and I consider the comparison a big compliment. The "more beautiful" part I feel is questionable in taste, but I choose to just accept the compliment when it's given!

This is my moody Lorde face.

dat highlight tho

My short sleeved bodysuit kept becoming an off the shoulder bodysuit so I went with it.

Piling on the blush and highlighter and keeping the eyes minimal was so fun. I love this kind of look.

  6. You are just stunning and Shame looks so great on you! I'm jealous. My skin is brown so it doesn't appear on me the same as it does on you. On me it looks more berry like than bordeaux. Maybe I will try the venom liner. Just gorgeous!
