Cut Crease - Instagram Favorite!

I'll be honest: this look was completely unplanned, and I didn't think it would be very well received. However, it is the most liked look I've ever posted on instagram!

It was one of those days where I sat down to do my makeup with no ideas. I did my foundation, brows, basic contour, and just let the rest happen.

I started by building up the crease it what I hoped would be a Lana Del Ray kind of way, using Naked 3 and some burgundy MUFE shadow.

It sort of worked, kinda, so I thought hell, why not make this graphic eyeliner happen too? Ok, that sort of worked. Kinda.

I ended up cleaning up the "cut" part of the crease and the inner part of the wing thing with the Nyx Wonder Pencil in light, and patting UD Strange over the top. It was meticulous and weird, since I don't usually prefer winged liner in the first place.

I then added yet another trendy kind of thing, that inner corner flick business. I LOVE this trend, and fully intend to do more with it.

I slapped on some lashes that weren't destroyed and called it good.

I was more pleased than I expected with the finished look, but to feedback from Instagram truly shocked me. I guess people love graphic eyeliner! Everyone on instagram is so kind to me, and I'm really grateful for that. It's so fun to enjoy others' work and see that they're enjoying mine. :)

There is no derp face for this look, because (being honest again) I actually was having a terrible day and took this makeup off in a rage because I thought it was so terrible. Jeez, I don't even know. But here we are!

  1. This is so gorgeous, kind of Twiggy-ish but also really modern. I love it :)
