Nyx Lipstick Haul including MACARON LIPPIES!

Nyx Macaron Lippies

I recently got a small Nyx Lipstick Haul! I got their Matte Lipstick in Spirit and Indie Flick, and their Macaron Lippies in Black Sesame, Violet, and Lavender.

I'll start with the Macaron Lippies since that's what everyone is so crazy about right now.

(And yes, it's macaron, not macaroon. I was confused at first.)

Lavender:

This is an absolutely beautiful color. Even though it's pale, it applies really beautifully and looks lovely on.

Violet:

I think Violet is my favorite right now. It's just such a gorgeous purple. It applies wonderfully (nice and pigmented) and I love the satiny finish.

Black Sesame:

HNNNGGG I love this one too. Grey lipstick is so awesome to me. I had no complaints here with application or pigmentation. I can't wait to build some looks around this lipstick!

Spirit:

I got these in the mail on the same day I did my smoky eye look, which was perfect, because Spirit goes so beautifully with a dramatic eye like this. It has quite peachy undertones and looks pretty flattering on my skin tone. It's nice and pigmented and goes on really smoothly, but it does settle into lines. Not enough to be bothersome, though!

Indie Flick

Yeah. It's just bright fucking orange. I never saw myself buying this, even though I've seen it look awesome on other people, but I bought it to see if I could make it work and get out of my comfort zone. And I LOVE it. The finish is so gorgeous, the staying power is amazing, it's not super drying, and its so pigmented. This made me want to buy ALL the mate lipsticks they have.

That's it friends. I want to do a couple tutorials soon, but my sleep schedule has gotten really out of whack (going to bed between 3am and 5am), which means daylight is a little more scarce for me these days. And I need dat daylight to film videos. I'm also trying to stay ahead on work before a big deadline coming in the near future. So don't give up on me!
